FORScan is a specialised diagnostic and configuration tool designed for Ford, Lincoln and Mazda vehicles. While it functions as a comprehensive diagnostics program, it also provides the ability to enable or adjust parameters that are factory installed in the vehicle’s software but disabled for certain markets.

For example, features such as additional drive modes including sports mode are already programmed into the vehicle’s electronic control units. However, these options are often deactivated for the Australian market. Using FORScan, these pre existing features can be accessed and enabled without the need for aftermarket modifications.

Because FORScan is built specifically for Ford vehicles, it incorporates an extensive communication database that allows precise interaction with the vehicle’s systems. This ensures that adjustments are limited to manufacturer installed parameters rather than introducing unsupported changes.

As a result, warranty coverage remains unaffected when parameters are enabled through FORScan. The features are not externally added or modified, they already exist within the vehicle’s programming and are simply reactivated.
